Boumatic MR-D1 Milking Robot

The MR-D1 is a compact milking robot with a double box featuring the same patented and pioneering system that milks the cow between the hind legs. The system is configured to milk two cows, side by side, simultaneously. The milking robot has a well-organized technical area and a robotic arm. All in one unit. The entirely new approach to milking between the hind legs provides direct benefits when it comes to cow processing, animal welfare and protection of the system itself.

With the MR-D1 milking robot, milking becomes easy for both the cow and the dairy farmer. The cow sets her own pace and decides when she wants to be milked. When she enters the robot, the identification system recognizes the cow, decides whether she needs to be milked at all and how much concentrated feed she needs. The robot arm approaches the udder between the cow's hind legs. Using the latest camera technology, the position of the teat is set and the milking clusters are connected.

The robot arm completes the milking process within the enclosed technical area. From washing and pre-milking with the special teat preparation cup (the nipples are individually cleaned and pre-milked) during the milking process to post-milking teat treatment.

The milking process is continuously monitored via various sensors and measuring devices. Deviations within the milking process are immediately and clearly signaled. If necessary, this data can be sent to a smartphone or tablet.
