Got it any questions?

Fermentation and maturation are some of the most important brewing processes and mastering these stages, where temperature and sanitation are decisive factors, enables you to achieve excellent results. OBE fermentation and maturation tanks provide you with this control, allowing for better definition of the characteristics and preservation of the beer’s purity and vitality.

Inside the tank, due to the fermentation process, there is intense formation of CO2, a gas that must be relieved. The OBE fermentation/maturation tanks, through their shape with a spherical top and pressure relief system, guarantee safety and protection in beer production.

OBE Tanks are constructed of AISI 304 Stainless Steel, with a sanitary polished finish, adjustable feet and a side inspection cover with a sample tap. For models up to 200L, the feet are fitted with swivel casters and a top inspection cover.

The body contains thermal insulation with expanded polyurethane. The beer temperature is controlled by independent cooling jackets on the side and cone. This configuration allows the temperature to be maintained at the same level regardless of the volume stored, ensuring perfect convection. A panel attached to the tank monitors and controls the temperature. A system that includes a pressure gauge, pressure relief valves and adjustable vacuum breakers ensures safety and control of the ideal internal pressure during the beer fermentation and maturation process.

The beer volume is checked on the external level display on the side of the tank. This system has a 3-way tap at the bottom that allows the display (hose) to be filled or emptied with each measurement, which prevents the non-refrigerated beer used in the measurement from returning to the tank.

All OBE Tanks have a total capacity of 20% in addition to their useful capacity, a volume called Head Space, where undissolved CO2 accumulates, therefore the total volume of the tank = useful volume + 20% (Head Space). After the fermentation and maturation process is complete, the tank has a valve with a drain to remove the pure beer and a drain valve to eliminate the yeast that has settled at the bottom of the cone. Cleaning is carried out by the CIP system, with circulation of the cleaning solution and sprayball spraying.
